Version 2.2.2 is very good and helps in learning the English language. I think this app is the best to learn the sounds and the phonetic transcription of the English language

A pioneer in online applications to help you understand how to use your mouth to produce English sounds, Ive using this application for several years first online and now in my iPad to train in proper American English pronunciation. Highly recommendable.
The sound doesnt play at animation. Id like to listen to repeatedly. Please fix soon
only "p" sound plays...plz revamp it
New interface works slowly after couple of minutes after program start. iOS 9, iPad 4
It’s okay. Would be better to see this all on the larger iPad screen.
This app is the best! For teaching Pronunciation and English as second language, ESL!!
This app contains only few IPA symbol only. This app should add more IPA symbol. For example, there is not lateral fricative or lateral affricate at all. I hope that this app have all of IPA symbol as soon as possible.
Only provides text definitions. Like a super small dictionary. No video. No audio. No pictures. Maybe just really broken right now?
I love this app. I use it with liners to show placement of the tongue. My hearing impaired and my accent modification clients find this app useful for home practice.
Voicing on /p/ audio... (and /t/, I think, havent looked at them all). Audio should be corrected to voiceless!
Good app. Doesnt seem to support iOS 8
The idea behind this app is great, and the free online app is amazing. However, this $2.99 app is terrible. Multiple crashes on startup, & once inside the app, sounds that go along with the animation only works once, then no more, no matter which letter, or section. Very disappointing. Will have to try and get my money back from iTunes and keep using the free online app.
This is terrible. Theres nothing here but a list of linguistic definitions! Just lost $2.99 :(
Nice idea but no execution. I clicked on spanish pronounciation and got this stupid app which i later discovered had in small print no Spanish.
First off-- This is a PHONETICS app. Its intended for the study of sound production-- it would best benefit linguists and linguistic students of English, speech-language pathologists, speech therapists, and others who work with speech sounds. This is by far the best app Ive been given for the study of speech production-- it is amazingly visual, clear, colorful, and has just the right amount of details. This app takes all the invisible movements of the tongue, lips, and teeth producing speech sounds and makes it visual. You can see every movement, placement, and variation. This app is one of the tools I use to teach. I love this app enough to ask for a world-languages version.
All I see is definitions of speech-related terms.... not AT ALL like the screen shots! Am I doing something wrong or is this one of the biggest wastes of money in the App Store??
I just updated my itunes and downloaded the application but it is not playing. The application does not appear to be intuitive.
At first I didnt think it was working. The first page is a list of definitions. But when you click on them you get to the videos. I mainly purchased for help in teaching correct /r/ production. But wish there was a better way to see the tongue contact with the teeth. Nice way to learn phonetics for SLP students especially vowels which can be tricky!
Its perfect and has all the vowels and consonants sounds.
