The 1-star reviews say that this app only has a list of linguistic definitions. However, those lists are only how the sounds are organized. To get to a sounds page (like you see in the screenshots), just tap on the definition (i.e. "Fricative" or "monopthong") and then you can select a specific sound from the bottom of the screen. This takes you to that sounds page with its description and videos, etc. So all the content is available like it is on the website! Its just that the apps design was a little confusing.
For those saying it has nothing, click a description, then a sound at the bottom, and youll see the videos. However /p/ is not "pUH"! Its just the lips together w an unvoiced push of air. Peeve of mine! Please fix so I can use this w students in speech therapy
Love the idea of the app, I just wish I could pause the animations or view them in slow motion. My apraxia and dysarthria patients often require extra processing time, slowing it down would help their concept transfer!
It would be way better if add the fluctuation of recording to compare the difference.
